Electrical submetering by area, process or tenant
We measure separately how much energy each area, line, process or tenant consumes, and you can check it whenever you want. That way you know where the energy goes and allocate its cost with data.
What it involves
The CFE bill shows how much the entire installation consumes, but not who consumes it. Submetering places meters at the points that matter, such as production lines, areas, compressors or units, and centralizes the information so it can be checked by period.
With that data, the energy cost is allocated among areas or tenants, you find where to save first and you confirm whether a savings project worked.
When is it needed?
- You want to know where the energy goes in your plant.
- You need to allocate energy costs to your tenants or cost centers.
- You are going to run a savings project and want to measure the result.
- Your demand is rising and you don't know which area is causing it.
- You want to prepare your installation for energy monitoring.
What it includes
The final scope is defined with you, based on your installation and what you need to solve.
Metering point definition
We review with you how you allocate costs today and where it is best to measure.
Meters and current transformers
Supply and installation of meters and current transformers.
Communication
Network link of the meters to centralize the information.
Consumption access
Access to the information by area and period, also from your phone.
Reports
Consumption and demand by area to allocate costs and track progress.
Monitoring (optional)
Alarms reviewed by a specialist through the Energy Monitoring Program.
This is how your consumption by area looks
These are screens from the demos in the demo room, with simulated data. You can go in and use them to see how it would work in your case.

Who uses the demand and who caused the peak
One meter per building, area or line. You know how much each one consumes, at what time, and who caused the peak or the low power factor CFE is going to charge.

Each tenant's consumption, without guesswork
One meter per apartment or unit, common areas allocated fairly and alerts on out-of-range consumption: appliances left on in empty spaces, leaks or unauthorized connections.
What we need to serve you
The basics are enough to quote. If you are missing some data, don't stop: we gather it on site as part of the service.
To carry out the work
Requested once the service is confirmed. We help you gather it.
- Single-line diagram or the list of panels and circuits to measure.
- Photos of the panels where the meters will be installed, to check the space.
- Approximate current of each circuit, to select the current transformers.
- Recent CFE bill.
- People who will access the information.
Your information is treated as confidential and is used only for your project.
Studies with measurements at your plant
We measure directly at your facility and deliver interpreted results with clear recommendations.
Consumption by equipment, line or area
We measure the energy of each load to know where, when and how much is consumed.
Useful for: knowing the energy cost per line or product, spotting equipment running without producing and deciding where to save first.
Baseline measurement
We measure before installing a monitoring system to set reference values and alarms.
Useful for: defining alarm limits, comparing savings afterwards and choosing where fixed meters make sense.
Fixed meters by type of property
For permanent submetering we install the right meter for each case, fixed-mounted on a wall or panel.
Medium voltage
Auditable Class A meter for the most accurate measurement when billing internally or to third parties.
Industrial buildings
One meter per building that records consumption, contracted and used demand, and power factor.
Apartments and retail units
One energy meter per tenant so each one is billed for what they actually use.
How the service is performed
Review
We review how you allocate costs today and what you want to measure.
Design
We define the metering points and the communication.
Installation
We install the meters and link the information.
Handover
We hand over access and train the people who will use it.
What people ask us most
Can I check consumption from my phone?
Yes. The information can be accessed from a computer or phone, with the user account assigned to you.
What is the difference from the Energy Monitoring Program?
Submetering gives you the information for you to check. In the program, a specialist also receives and analyzes the alarms and contacts you when something needs attention.
Do we need to shut down to install the meters?
Installing current transformers may require de-energizing the circuit. It is scheduled in a short window agreed with you.
Can I see how it works first?
Yes. In the demo room you can use the submetering demos for industrial buildings and apartments.
Do you have a case at your plant?
Tell us what you need to solve and what information you have. A specialist will reply with the scope and next steps.
